Villa Matejuška

The villa is located close to Matejuška, an old fisherman port and one of the places in Split which has kept its Mediterranean spirit for centuries.

It is just 300 meters away from Diocletian Palace which makes it perfect location not only for exploring the Old town, but also for discovering beaches and parks of Split, as the walking paths, bike routes and bus lines start close from Villa.

Ako dolazite autobusom s aerodroma ili brodom u glavnu luku, trebate hodati u smjeru starog grada (možete ga prepoznati prema zvoniku) i kroz glavnu šetnicu Rivu. Na kraju šetnice ćete vidjeti malu fontanu iza koje se nalazi crkva sv.Frane, nastavite hodati lijevo uz crkvu do prve uličice na desnoj strani. Skrenite u tu ulicu (Tomića Stine) i nakon nekoliko metara ćete ugledati Villu Matejušku na desnoj strani.

Ako vozite trebate pratiti znakove do hotela Marjan smještenog na zapadnoj strani grad, što znači da ćete u jednom trenutku morati proći kroz tunel. Kad prođete kraj hotela nastavite voziti do mjesta gdje cesta završava, a to je upravo ispred crkve Sv. Frane, gdje možete parkirati vaše auto i nastaviti pratiti naše upute za pješake.

If you are arriving by shuttle bus from the airport or by boat via the main ferry port, you should walk towards the direction of Old Town (easily recognized by the tower bell) and through the main waterfront promenade, Riva. At the end of the promenade you will see a little fountain and the Church of St. Frances behind it. Pass by the left side of the church and keep on walking until the first alley on the right. Then follow Tomića Stine Street and after few meters you will see Villa Matejuška on your right side.

If you are driving you should follow the signs to Hotel Marjan located on west side of the town. This means you will have to pass through the tunnel at one point. Continue driving when you pass by the hotel all the way to where the road ends in front of the aforementioned St. Frances Church. You can find parking there and then follow our walking instructions.
