Mostar Bosnia Day Trip from Split
Mostar is a city of mixing cultures and contrasts. Basically, it is a city where East meets West. From a recent war when the heart of the city was bombed to its rich Turkish history, let this excursion take you through different times and different cultures.
The most magnificent monument, Stari Most (Old Bridge), built in 1566 by the great Turkish builder Hayruddin and destroyed in 1993 is a symbol of this town's pride and tragedy. This beautiful stone structure stands over Neretva River restoring life to the most beautiful city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The trip starts with a minivan or bus from Split, continuing to Omiš and Makarska Riviera and passing through fertile Neretva Valley. After a short rest in traditional village, we continue our trip to Mostar. Local, professional guides will take us through narrow city streets, museums and history. There will be enough free time to wander through traditional Kujundžiluk (old bazaar) and to try traditional delicacies. Departure and arrival is in Split during late afternoon.
